Rex Buchanan
Rex Buchanan is the founder and owner of Elevation Sound Studios. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Recording Arts Technology at the University of Colorado at Denver and over the past 5 years he has built a name for himself as a successful DJ, music producer and instructor. He explores a variety of genres from across the EDM spectrum with his original tracks, remixes and DJ sets, all the while maintaining a good mix of underground and popular sounds. During his time on the decks Rex has performed at many notable festivals and venues including: Global Dance Festival (CO), Firefly Music Festival (DE), Red Rocks Amphitheater (CO), City Hall Amphitheater (CO), Beta Nightclub (CO), The Gansevoort Hotel (NYC), The Delancey (NYC), Stage 48 (NYC), Hudson Gardens (NYC), Cervantes (CO) and Summit Music Hall (CO). He has opened for many notable artists including: Pretty Lights, LMFAO, Empire of the Sun, Will.I.Am, Benny Benassi, Big Gigantic, Griz, Vibe Street, Innerpartysystem, Green Velvet, Manufactured Superstars, Bad Boy Bill, Chris Karns, DJ Icey, Donald Glaude, Calvertron, Kids at the Bar, Darth & Vader, LAZRtag, The Faint, Air Dubai and Ben Samples and he has performed for many notable clients including: Scratch Music Group, Michael Kors, Vogue, Macy’s, Bloomingdales, Guess, Victoria’s Secret, Aeropostale, H&M and many more. Rex is available for remixing, mixing, mastering and music production projects and he is the lead instructor for the DJ and music production workshops at Elevation.
Erik Sowers
Erik Sowers – a.k.a. Anomaly – first learned how to DJ back in 2007 when he landed a weekly Friday night residency at The Funky Buddha Bar and Lounge in Denver, CO – a residency he held for two years. It was during this time that he truly began to explore and better understand the creative possibilities of being a DJ. Since then, Anomaly has appeared and headlined at some of Colorado’s biggest nightclubs and festivals – The Church Nightclub, Club Vinyl, Beta Nightclub, Absinthe House, Caffeine Music Festival, Global Dance Festival – just to name a few. In the summer of 2012, he received his Masters Certificate in Music Production and Technology from Berklee College of Music and is currently working full time on producing his own original music. Anomaly is the host of the Fundamental Frequencies Podcast where he features his own mixes as well as guest mixes from other artists and DJs around the country. When he isn’t ripping up the clubs, Erik enjoys DJing private events of all kinds and teaching DJ and music production lessons for Discosapien.
